Tank you to everyone who took the time to complete our recent member survey. Your feedback has provided us with valuable insight into what members enjoy most about the club and where we can continue to improve.

Overall, the results showed that members rated social events, cruising activities, and the overall club experience positively. The survey also highlighted opportunities to improve racing communication and organisation, committee visibility, and making it easier for members to get involved in the running of the club. Many members also expressed an interest in more social opportunities and greater involvement in club activities.

We’re already acting on this feedback. Changes for this season include:

• Clearer race communications and instructions to improve the racing experience.
• An expanded programme of social events to bring members together both on and off the water.
• Opening event organisation and committee meeting participation to all members, giving everyone the opportunity to contribute ideas, help organise activities, and play a greater role in shaping the future of the club.

This is just the beginning. The committee will continue to review the survey findings as we plan future activities and improvements. We would like to thank everyone who shared their views and helped us identify ways to make Banff Sailing Club an even better place to sail, socialise, and get involved.
